Bystronic invests further in German Beyeler facility 05/06/2006

Bystronic has made further investments at its press brake manufacturing subsidiary Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH in Gotha, Germany.

In the middle of May, a new building was opened, which in addition to a demonstration facility also houses a modern, integrated sheet metal processing centre.

In addition to the training and meeting rooms, the 65 by 20 m wide hall houses a state-of-the-art and fully equipped demonstration centre with press brakes from all three Bystronic product families: Hämmerle 3P, Beyeler PR and AFM EP. In addition to the individual machines, potential customers can also witness the efficiency of a Beyeler press brake serviced by an ABB robot.

Separated only by a glass wall from the demonstration centre, is a new integrated sheet metal processing centre that is equipped entirely with Bystronic machines. Using a Bystar laser cutting system, a Hämmerle 3P and a Beyeler PR press brake, together with a plate shear, all the sheet metal parts are produced for the Bystronic products that are manufactured in Gotha.

Beyeler Maschinenbau GmbH, with its approximately 200 employees is, in addition to the plant in Tianjin/China, one of two factories manufacturing Bystronic press brakes. (Beyeler was acquired by Bystronic in 2002.)
