Described as "a major step towards true interoperability with many popular CAD systems", Delcam has launched Solid Doctor for the repair of CAD models.
 The capability comes as part of the new releases of its PowerSHAPE CAD and CopyCAD Pro reverse engineering program. Click here for more details
Both now incorporate Parasolid software, which, together with Delcam's existing tools, allows the Solid Doctor to read in and repair models from all sources, including IGES and native CATIA files, and output a Parasolid XT file that can be read directly into all software based on Parasolid.
