Minimal Quantity Lubrication (MQL) specialist Bielomatik is introducing a Trial Kit which enables companies to try-before-they-buy, and find out how advantageous a Bielomatik MQL system can be.
MQL replaces traditional 'flood-type' lubrication, lubricating the workpiece with a very fine, precisely controlled mist of coolant.
The new trial unit comprises a single-channel MQL system and comes complete with ball valve, hoses, nozzles - in fact everything that is needed to connect to a machine. MQL systems require that tooling and spindle have through-holes to allow the lubricant to pass through to the product.
Companies already using Bielomatik MQL technology are experiencing major improvements, says the company, they benefiting from productivity increases through reduced cutting cycle times while at the same time achieving better product finishes.
There are also direct, on-going financial savings since there is a dramatic reduction in the amount of cutting oil required and disposal cost of discarded metal is lower since it is virtually oil-free.
