MACH delivers the business for GF AgieCharmilles 14/05/2008

EDM and milling machine tool specialist GF AgieCharmilles sold 12 new machine tools with a combined order value in excess of £1.4 million during the MACH 2008 show held last month.

These orders, in addition to over 80 additional serious and positive machine tool sales enquiries taken during the Show, and a further £120,000 of sales generated by the company’s Customer Services Business Team (EDM consumables; machine tool servicing and preventative maintenance contracts; training etc.), mean that the company is well on track to achieve its 2008 sales targets.

“Whichever way you look at it we have had a really good MACH Show.” Said Steve Sylvester, managing director, GF AgieCharmilles.

“It’s always great to take new machine tool orders on the stand – and the fact that over 50 per cent of these came from new customers is particularly pleasing. I’m also delighted by the volume and the quality of the enquiries we took during the week, which are now being actively followed-up.”

While EDM - both wire and die-sink machines - proved popular, and the new Cut 20 wire EDM machine particularly so, four Mikron milling machines were also sold.
