Novel development from Jones & Shipman 28/04/2008

The Jones & Shipman stand at MACH displayed a novel machine development, although it was not present physically.

Present in photograph form, but not on show at MACH due to the sale of two units, was Jones & Shipman’s SAM XL wheel-changing superabrasive machine which employs HEDG (high efficiency deep grinding) technology.

The novel element of the machine is that not only does this machine feature wheel changing but also that in addition coolant pipes/nozzles are changed. This makes sure that once set up, coolant application remains constant, eliminating manual intervention post wheel change.
