Edgecam 12.5 wins Inventor 2009 certification 21/04/2008

Planit's Edgecam 12.5 has been certified by Autodesk for its Inventor 2009 CAD software.

“We are delighted to have achieved certification for Autodesk Inventor 2009,” said Edgecam international sales director Simon Lee. “As Autodesk’s preferred CAM partner it allows us to offer customers a seamlessly integrated system, as well as enhance Edgecam’s position as the leading software for milling, turning and mill/turn programming.”

Full associativity between the two programs ensures that when design modifications or deletions are made, Edgecam automatically regenerates the NC code to reflect the changes. In this way, true data integrity is assured, eliminating any loss of data and preventing downtime – even in the case of last minute changes.

This certification reinforces Planit Holdings’ aim of focusing on its core activities and becoming global market leader in the provision of CADCAM solutions to the manufacturing industry. The rebranding of Edgecam, Jobshop and Radan creates a stronger link between the three entities as one leading, global business offering a range of complementary products.
