Environment Matters revisited - another chance to contact the experts 12/09/2007

Didn't get the chance to visit Machinery's Environment Matters event on Tuesday 11 September? Don't worry, links to all technology suppliers in attendance can be found here.

The 70-odd visitors to Machinery's first Environment Matters event declared themselves well satisfied - "We have just started a major project and being able to talk with all these suppliers in a single day has saved me several individual meetings," said one visitor. Another said he was in the throes of making a final decision on filtration and cleaning technology. "This was a good focused event covering two of the areas of immediate interest to us."

Yet another found a solution to its cleaning problems following a discussion with SafeChem about alternative cleaning solutions for an existing open tank facility.

All 14 technology suppliers in attendance were also well pleased. Ken Morris of Master Chemical said: "People coming here have specific problems they want to discuss - it's been very good." Although probably better known for its coolant solutions, the company's cleaning solutions and swarf processing machinery were also an area of great interest, reported Mr Morris.

Eclipse Magnetics' Jim Campbell said that he had people queuing to see his company's magnetic fluid filtration solution. "The event has been very good," he said.

Kyal Machine Tools' Simon Pollard was especially pleased as the event was effectively the UK launch of his latest venture; a tie-up with the Germany-based Surface Alliance group of companies offering high technology cleaning solutions.

The system is a good complement to the company's existing WFL mill-turn and Weiler lathe ranges, he offered, adding that he already had enquiries from existing machine tool customers for cleaning technology with the Environment Matters event having added to this early interest level.

So, if you have component cleaning issues, swarf handling/processing challenges, and air or fluid filtration concerns, take the opportunity to email the linked suppliers to benefit from Machinery's Environment Matters event if you didn’t attend.

Just to remind you of the areas of competence of the attending technology suppliers, they are:

Air Cleaning Systems (coolant/oil mist/smoke filtration); Eclipse Magnetics (coolant condition maintenance); FUCHS Lubricants (coolants, lubricants); Geo Kingsbury (Dürr degreasing equipment); Houghton (coolants, air filtration); IB Industries (degreasing); Kitagawa Europe (coolant/oil mist/smoke filtration); Kyal Machine Tools (degreasing); Layton Technologies (degreasing); Master Chemical (coolants, cleaning slutions, swarf management); MecWash/AquaSave (degreasing/water recycling); Safechem (degreasing); Turbex (degreasing).
